United Methodist Ministerial Tuition Remission

Because of the historical ties of American University to The United Methodist Church, the University has instituted the United Methodist Ministerial Tuition Remission Program to benefit dependent children of United Methodist clergy (elders and deacons) who are enrolled at AU. The tuition remission is a courtesy extended by AU to United Methodist clergy whose dependent child is enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program and who maintains no less than a 2.0.

Financial Aid for Native American Students
Friday, August 12th, 2011Description:
For a student to be eligible for many Native American scholarships, such as BIA scholarships, the student should be an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe. Otherwise funding will most likely be denied. A Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) card or document is generally accepted proof of membership in a federally recognized tribe.

Hellenic Link-Midwest Scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate Students, USA
Monday, August 8th, 2011Description:
-Applicants must be residents of a Midwestern state (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, or Wisconsin), and must have completed at least one year (as of June 2011) of full time study at an accredited college or university.
-At least one of the applicant’s parents must be of Greek descent and the applicant should not have received a Hellenic Link-Midwest scholarship in the past.

DEED Funding Opportunities- Students
Monday, August 1st, 2011Description:
The DEED technical design project is intended to promote the involvement of students studying in energy-related disciplines in the public power industry. One $5,000 TDP is awarded each year to a student or group of students conducting research on an energy-related project. The award recipient(s) also receive travel reimbursement up to $3000 to present their project during the annual APPA Engineering and Operations Technical Conference. The TDP does not require a utility sponsor.
