A.W. Bodine – Sunkist Growers Scholarship

Description:
The Bodine-Sunkist scholarship honors the memory of Sunkist board vice chairman Arthur W. Bodine. Eligibility requirements include financial need and a family or personal involvement in California or Arizona agriculture. It is open to students entering any phase of their undergraduate college career, at any school, and in any field of study. Please remember that the student and/or a member of the immediate family (parents/siblings/grandparents) must be, have been or currently be involved in California or Arizona agriculture. The number of recipients varies each year, with selection based on factors such as financial need, grade point average, college board test scores, recommendations and an essay.

The NGPA Education Fund

The NGPA Education Fund (NGPA-EF) provides scholarships to students pursuing aviation careers as professional pilots and who have demonstrated community involvement, including support of the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual & transgender (LGBT) community.
We have given more than $117,000 in 41 awards since 1998. In 2010, four awards of $3,750 each were made.

The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund

The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund provides grants to students actively working for peace and justice. These need-based scholarships are awarded to those able to do academic work at the university level and who are part of the progressive movement on the campus and in the community. Early recipients worked for civil rights, against McCarthyism, and for peace in Vietnam. Recent grantees have been active in the struggle against racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression; building the movement for economic justice; and creating peace through international anti-imperialist solidarity.

American Nuclear Society Scholarship

The American Nuclear Society (ANS) plays an important role in helping students complete their post-high school education and prepare for careers in nuclear science and technology (NS&T). Among the programs available is the long list of ANS Scholarships for those looking for funding opportunities.
More than 20 scholarships named after pioneers and leaders in NS&T and other general scholarships are awarded each year to students with outstanding academic credentials. Special scholarships are available to students who have significant economical needs in order to pursue degrees in NS&T. In addition to the scholarships for students entering their sophomore year and higher in college, ANS also provides scholarships to incoming freshmen.

The goal of this program is to formalize a unique educational opportunity for students to pursue a traditional engineering/STEM degree and become certified to teach in a STEM discipline. This may be customized for any of the engineering and STEM majors.
Graduates will complete:
- Bachelor of science degree in engineering (or STEM) discipline
- Major in education
- Major in science (biology, chemistry, physics or broad field science) or mathematics
