GMEA College/University Music Education Scholarships

Description:
The purpose of the GMEA College/University Music Education Scholarships program is to promote music education in Georgia.
Presentation of the scholarships will be based on candidates’ musical accomplishments and contributions, scholastic achievement, potential for success in the teaching profession, expression of personal professional goals and reasons for wanting to enter the teaching profession, and personal qualifications.
The amount of each scholarship shall be $2,000. A selection committee shall offer as many awards as it feels to be justified by the applications received each year, not to exceed the amount of funds available at the time. The decisions of the Scholarship Selection Committee shall be final and cannot be appealed in any fashion.

University of Delaware Grant

The budget of the University of Delaware provides for assistance to full-time faculty for individual research and professional development through General University Research grants. These merit-based grants are administered by the Sr. Vice Provost for Research, who is advised by the Research Committee of the Faculty Senate. The Research Committee recommends allocation of the funds available for the year, evaluates applications, and recommends those to be supported. GUR grants are awarded primarily in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Proposals involving interdisciplinary research are especially encouraged.

The “Education Matters” $5K Scholarship 2010
Sunday, September 26th, 2010Description:
The scholarship will be in the form of a check made payable to the accredited postsecondary institution of higher education attended by the recipient (once he/she has enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education and submitted proof of enrollment to the sponsor). The scholarship prize recipient must submit proof of enrollment on or before Dec. 31, 2016.

Professional Nurse Advancement Scholarships

DENNIS RAVELING SCHOLARSHIP

The Dennis Raveling Scholarship for Waterfowl Research is awarded annually to a student(s) with a desire to pursue a career in waterfowl or wetlands ecology. Awards are based on the candidate’s resolve, high academic achievement, and project merit. Candidates must be pursuing an advanced university degree in: Wildlife, Zoology, Botany, Ecology, or other pertinent biological science. Applicants should submit a ONE page proposal summary description on an original research or management project. Applicants should be prepared to submit a detailed project proposal if requested. The Scholarship is intended to provide field experience and training in the tools, methods, and concepts of waterfowl and wetlands research and management. A committee composed of previous students and professional colleagues of Dennis Raveling will select the winning candidates. There will be two awards given this year.

McKesson Pharmacy Scholarship Program

McKesson Foundation, Inc. has established the McKesson Pharmacy Scholarship Program to assist pharmacy students who plan to continue their education. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for study at an accredited School of Pharmacy of the student’s choice.
The McKesson Pharmacy Scholarship Program is independently administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the largest U.S. designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

The Monsanto Fund/UNCF 1890′s Program is an innovative program that creates scholarship opportunities for African-Americans at one of the nineteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Institutions. The Monsanto Fund/UNCF Program provides scholarships to 10 African-American juniors or seniors majoring in targeted agriculutre related, science, engineering and technology majors.
