AFCEA Scholarship for Working Professionals

Description:
The AFCEA Scholarship for Working Professionals will provide $2,000 to those students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree while employed in the science or technology disciplines directly related to the mission of AFCEA. Undergraduate candidates must be at least second-year students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. Graduate students must have completed at least two postgraduate-level classes prior to the deadline date.

Tall Clubs International Scholarships
Monday, August 30th, 2010Description:
Annually, at TCI Convention, TCI awards student scholarships of up to $1000 each to tall students. These awards are provided by the local TCI clubs. There are no rules on how a local Club selects their candidates; simply that they may select ONE candidate and submit their name to the TCI Alternate Executive Club for consideration.
Criteria:
A. Must be under 21 years of age and attending college in the following Fall.
B. The recipients must also meet the TCI height requirement minimums of 5’10″ for women and 6’2″ for men.

National Football League Scholarship – Miami Dolphins

ANNE WEXLER FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP FOR AUSTRALIAN-AMERICAN PUBLIC POLICY STUDIES

The aim of the Anne Wexler Scholarships is to grow Australian-American educational linkages by building the network of public policy experts and to encourage ongoing policy exchange between both countries. U.S. postgraduate students with strong academic credentials and leadership potential can apply to undertake a Master’s degree in Australia in an area that supports the late Mrs Wexler’s bi-national interests in the fields of public policy. These may include key areas such as health, sustainability, energy, climate change, regional security, political science, history or governmental relations. Consideration will be given to those undertaking one year of study to complete a Master’s degree.

Future Engineers Scholarship Program
Friday, August 27th, 2010Description:
One winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship to be used toward eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, and room and board during the 2011 calendar year.
The winner will be invited to visit a local Kelly Services branch and will be presented with a check payable to his or her current institution. The winner will also receive a commemorative plaque.
The winner will be announced and a news release will be distributed to national media, local media in the winner’s hometown, and the winner’s university paper.

Spectrum Scholarships 2011-American Library Association-USA

The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) continues its commitment to diversity in the library profession by announcing its support of the American Library Association’s (ALA) Spectrum Scholarship Program and this year’s special Spectrum Presidential Initiative. In 2011, YALSA will fund one Spectrum Scholarship for an individual interested in pursuing young adult services as a career. This is the third straight year that YALSA has sponsored a Spectrum Scholar. The Spectrum Scholarship consists of $5,000 for tuition reimbursement and $1,500 towards the scholar’s participation in the Spectrum Leadership Institute at the ALA Annual Conference.

International Student Financial Aid

These awards acknowledge students who have reached a high level of academic achievement throughout their high school career. With the exception of the Wesson Honors Scholarship, there is neither a separate application or deadline for these scholarships. As part of our rolling admissions process, students will be informed of the award decision at the point of acceptance. For international students, the admissions committee will recalculate your GPA based on equivalent letter and number grades from the Official High School Transcript you submit.
