Are you are an active duty member, honorably discharged or retired veteran of a United States military service branch? Whether you served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or National Guard, tuition assistance or education awards may be available for military students. You may be able to qualify for the Imagine America Military Award Program to help fund attendance at a participating career college.

The Imagine America Military Award Program offers tuition assistance for military students who decide to pursue career college training. If you are interested in receiving your training through a career college, the Military Award Program can help fund your education through financial aid and education awards.  TheImagine America Military Award Program is designed to help military servicepersons receive career education and make the transition from military to civilian life.

The Ann Arbor AWC Scholarship for Women in Computing

Description:

Each year the Ann Arbor chapter of the Association for Women in Computing (AWC), awards one or more scholarships through the AWC Scholarship Fund for Women in Computing held at the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF).

The scholarship recognizes outstanding women participating in an institution accredited for higher education in the state of Michigan pursuing a career in a computer or technology-related field.

Awards are determined based on your answers to the three essay questions. The most important considerations are motivation, passion, thoughtfulness, creativity, skillful communication, and participation in the computing community.

The scholarship recipient must agree, if awarded the scholarship, to provide a written report on academic progress at the end of the semester after receiving the scholarship.

In order for your Erma Byrd Scholarship Program application to be considered, you must meet the following criteria, as discussed in the application package. If you do not meet all of the criteria listed below, we will be unable to consider your application.

  • U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident
  • Pursuing a degree in mining and mineral engineering, industrial engineering, occupational safety and health technology/technician, quality control technology/technician, industrial safety technology/technician, hazardous materials information systems technology/technician, mining technology/technician, or occupational health and industrial hygiene

ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarship

Description:

ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarships are awarded to graduating high-school seniors who have enrolled, full-time, in college courses and are pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering or have the intent to pursue a degree in nuclear engineering.  ANS will give a maximum of four Incoming Freshman Scholarships annually.  Each award is $1000.
