AISI/AIST Foundation Premier Scholarship

Description:

The American Iron and Steel Institute and the Association for Iron and Steel Technology Foundation have joined together to create the AISI/AIST Premier Scholarship to increase the number of students studying engineering in North America, and to encourage such students to pursue careers in the iron and steel industry upon graduation.

National Institute of Health Scholarship

Description:

The Summer Internship Program (SIP) at the NIH provides an opportunity to spend the summer working side-by-side with some of the leading scientists in the world in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research. Students sixteen years of age or older who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are currently enrolled at least half-time in high school, an accredited U.S. college or university or an accredited U.S. medical/dental school are eligible to apply. Description:

To be eligible to receive an ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following requirements:

1. The applicant must be an entering, first-year law student in the 2010 academic year. Only students beginning law school in the 2010 academic year will be eligible for an ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship. Law students who have completed one or more semesters or years of law school are not eligible. Applicants who are part-time law students also must be starting law school in the 2010 academic year to be eligible.

2. At the time of submission of the application, the applicant must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 grading scale) at his or her undergraduate institution. If the applicant has not completed his or her undergraduate degree at the time the application is submitted, he or she must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 grading scale) as of the most recent completed semester.
