The AICPA Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop is an annual invitational program for minority accounting students who plan to pursue the CPA designation. This event aims to strengthen students’ professional skills and understanding of the limitless possibilities and benefits of earning the CPA credential. Through speakers, panel discussions and interactive programs, participants gain confidence and an enhanced understanding of the various career paths with the accounting profession to prepare them for the steps that follow graduation.

THE CULINARY TRUST Scholarship & grant Program

The scholarships and grants listed in this program are available for degree, certificate or diploma programs at culinary schools, continuing education courses, advanced degrees, internships, independent study, research, and writing projects.
• The scholarships are valid for study between 01 July 2010 and 30 June 2011 unless otherwise noted in the detail for the award.
• The Culinary Trust’s scholarship and grant program is open to applicants around the world. Individual awards may specify beginning culinary students or career professionals. Additional requirements may apply to individual awards.

Wings Over America Scholarship

AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship
Thursday, January 28th, 2010Description:
The AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship program provides financial assistance to students who are majoring in accounting, finance, or information systems. These awards are intended to encourage students to consider careers in accounting and business.
AICPA and RHI/Accountemps staff and their family members are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
Award Amount: $2,500 per recipient for one year. The award will be sent directly to the school for credit to the account of the student.

Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010Description:
- Employed at least two years by one or more state or local governments.
- Recommendation by your employer.
- Currently a part-time student in a graduate program in public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, economics, or
business administration that prepares students for careers in state and local government finance and expecting to be enrolled in the spring 2011 semester (including spring 2011 graduates).
- Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent.
- Citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
- Recommendation by your academic advisor or dean of the graduate program.
- Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship program administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

American Welding Society – National Scholarships

The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship
Monday, January 25th, 2010Description:
The Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. The fellowship award includes funding toward tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees during the senior year of college and during the first year of graduate study. Reimbursement for books and some travel may be paid. Fellows must commit to pursuing a graduate degree in international studies at one of the graduate schools participating in the program. Participating graduate schools provide financial support in the second year of graduate study based on need.

At Minority Nurse, we believe the baccalaureate is the degree that opens the most doors of opportunity for nurses of color. That’s why we offer an annual scholarship program to help outstanding students complete their studies leading to a BSN degree. To date, we have awarded nearly 40 scholarships, totaling $32,000, to nursing students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to academic excellence and community service.

American Advertising Federation – Houston and the Advertising Education Foundation of Houston

The American Advertising Federation – Houston, through its Alice B. Rogers Educational Fund, and the Advertising Education Foundation of Houston award scholarships to college students pursuing an under-graduate or post-graduate degree in advertising, communications, journalism, radio/TV, commercial art, marketing, public relations or related fields. For all scholarships awarded, preference is given to Houston-area residents attending colleges or universities in any location or to students attending Houston-area institutes as defined by the Houston ADI, and who indicate a desire to join the local communications or integrated marketing community after graduation.
