The Corporate Aviation Management Committee of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), in cooperation with sponsor The VanAllen Group, offers the Corporate Aviation Management Scholarship to enable qualified candidates to attend the NBAA Leadership Conference.
Attendance at the NBAA Leadership Conference promotes the professional development and leadership skills of individuals seeking careers in flight department management. Those who currently work in the business aviation industry or attend a university-level aviation program are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed and evaluated based upon the career planning and progress of the individual toward a career in business aviation.

Undergraduate Regional Scholarships

Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30% and submit the following in one envelope postmarked by the application deadline:
- Completed application in English.
- Official transcript of college grades (if college grades are not available by the application deadline, submit high school grades)
- A letter of recommendation from an instructor or faculty advisor, a current or past employer, and another character reference. In the case of institutions with an ASHRAE student branch, include a letter from the faculty advisor of that branch (may be one of the three required letters of recommendation. Comments from the Student Activities Chair of an ASHRE chapter, if one is within reasonable distance of home or school following an interview with the applicant, are strongly recommended and may be submitted electronically.

Ford Diversity Fellowship Programs

Through its Diversity Fellowship Programs, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.
Ford Diversity Fellowship awards are offered at the Predoctoral, Dissertation and Postdoctoral levels. Fellowships are awarded in a national competition. Awards are made to individuals who, in the judgment of the review panels, have demonstrated superior academic achievement, are committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level, show promise of future achievement as scholars and teachers, and are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.

The Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program will award 104 scholarships in the amount of $20,000 to high school seniors from low-income backgrounds who are planning to pursue bachelor’s degrees. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to use their college degrees in service to others.

Apprentice Ecologist Initiative Scholarship

The Apprentice Ecologist Initiative Scholarship is open to young people interested in the environment. The initiative seeks to elevate young people (including disadvantaged and at-risk youth) into leadership roles by engaging them in environmental cleanup projects, empower volunteers to rebuild the environmental and social well-being of our communities, and improve local living conditions for both citizens and wildlife. A $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to the author of the top Apprentice Ecologist essay.
