American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Professional Advancement Scholarships

The highly regarded NIWI program – sponsored by the Nursing Organizations Alliance, a coalition to create a strong voice for nurses – teaches nurses how to influence health policy at the local and national levels. Nurses visit Capitol Hill and acquire the skills needed to work with legislators to advance policies and agendas
AACN will award up to 15 scholarships to attend the 2010 NIWI program contingent on acceptance to NIWI, which requires a separate application.

AAS Fellowships for Creative and Performing Artists and Writers

Applicants must provide a cover sheet; two letters of reference; a current resume including a listing of any awards, scholarship, or grant received; a statement of not more than five-typed, double spaced pages briefly summarizing the applicants educational and professional background and goals, describing the research for the project including readings in primary and secondary sources, and indicating the nature of the research program proposed for the AAS fellowship; ten copies of representative samples of previous works must included for the distribution of the committee.

Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships

Available to full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Applicants must be enrolled in a program or accepted to a post-secondary educational institution that meets at least one of the following criteria:
- the institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch (www.ashrae.org/students)
- the program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the USA (www.abet.org)
- the program is accredited by an agency outside the USA that has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ABET or The Washington Accord (www.abet.org)

Joyce C. Hall College Scholarship

The scholarships are $2,000.00 each and up to five (5) will be selected. Each award will be sent directly to the student’s university and administered by the university. The scholarship must be used to pay tuition first, then books and supplies. People to People International must approve application of scholarship funds to meet other educational expenses such as dormitory fees, off-campus study, special projects, etc.
