Nurses visit Capitol Hill and acquire the skills needed to work with legislators to advance policies and agendas

AACN will award up to 15 scholarships to attend the 2010 NIWI program contingent on acceptance to NIWI, which requires a separate application.

Available to full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Applicants must be enrolled in a program or accepted to a post-secondary educational institution that meets at least one of the following criteria:

  1. the institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch (www.ashrae.org/students)
  2. the program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the USA (www.abet.org)
